The smallest of productions from Nicolas Chemarin, Le Rocher is from his single plot located above Marchampt. Sitting at 800m above sea level, this area is one of the hardest areas to work, resulting in only 2-3 barrels being produced. The wine is deeply coloured with dried floral character and tense berry fruit. Carried with weight and fine defined tannin structure, this is a wine that will age if desired. A suggestion of aeration of the wine for at least 20 minutes would be recommended for this incredible fine example of high altitude Beaujolais Villages.
