Jean Foillard ‘Morgon’ 2019

Seen as a Pioneer of the Beaujolais winemaking Renaissance…. Jean Foillard, amongst others, took the spearhead to get away from the commercial production image that many had grown to associate with the Beaujolais region. Hailing back to the traditional methods of cultivation and winemaking… they sought out to return to organic viticulture and minimal vinification. The result, pure dynamic wines from old vine gamay. The Classic cuvee from Foillard has beautiful finesse and depth, rounded fruit and earthy spice. Structured but gentle intensity, giving a sense of place and delicacy… giving any top burgundy Pinot Noir a run for its money.
